Vivianne Miedema and Iman Beney are at very different stages in their careers.

One has been a leading light in world football for almost a decade, with a swathe of incredible honours and records to her name.

They’ve both enjoyed dizzying highs and painful lows on the pitch but have emerged stronger from those experiences with key learnings to take forward.

SEND IT FORWARD: ADVICE FROM CITY’S INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN

In the spirit of this year’s International Women’s Day theme of ‘Give to Gain’, which focuses on encouraging a mindset of generosity and collaboration, Viv and Iman pass on some of the most important lessons and motivations that’ve helped them to where they are today.

They reflect on their journeys so far, chatting about their early female idols in elite sport and some of their proudest moments in football so far.

The pair also reveal some of the best advice they’ve been given to help them achieve what they have so far including, for Beney, a well-known phrase from her home in Savièse, Switzerland: “Pa Capona”.
