Vivianne Miedema looks back on a special season so far from both a City and an individual perspective.

The Dutch international has been a central figure in the Blues’ impressive campaign so far, which sees us sit top of the Barclays Women’s Super League with six matches to play.

Miedema, the WSL’s record scorer, has contributed eight goals and five assists across those 16 matches so far, with only team-mate Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw providing more contributions in front of goal so far in 2025/26.

Crucially, though, Viv has been an ever-present this season for City after, through her own admission, three seasons of struggle with injury.

But now the Netherlands’ record scorer looks back to her brilliant best, and is loving life in Blue, so much so the Club have triggered a 12-month extension in her contract to take her time at City through to the summer of 2027.

In the above interview, Viv discusses her exciting future in Manchester, as well as the excellent progress she and the team have made this season.

Miedema also heaps praise on Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz for his role in our impressive campaign so far, and how much she’s enjoying her new position in 2025/26.
