The new platform reflects Manchester City Women’s ambition to build a stronger and more distinctive identity for the team and its supporters.
It celebrates a club shaped by progress and a pioneering spirit - from being the first English club to make our players full-time professionals, to becoming the first WSL club to move away from white shorts and the first women’s team to have naming rights for its stadium.

Developed in collaboration with sports branding specialists Nomad Studio, the platform is designed to give Manchester City Women a stronger and more distinctive presence while maintaining a proud connection to the wider Manchester City brand.
It has been created to better reflect who Manchester City Women are today: a team with a rich history, a distinctive personality and a clear ambition to lead the future of women’s football.
The platform will provide greater consistency across the team’s communications and experiences, helping existing supporters and new audiences engage with Manchester City Women in a more meaningful way.
The new platform has been designed to connect with a new wave of women’s football fans, while strengthening relationships with existing supporters. It will also provide greater consistency across Manchester City Women’s communications, matchday environments and fan-facing experiences.
The Manchester City crest and sky blue remain central to the identity, preserving the team’s connection to the wider Club and the city it represents.
Alongside this, a new MCW monogram provides a distinctive expression of Manchester City Women across lifestyle, culture and fan-facing experiences.
Fan consultation was an important part of the process, helping to ensure the platform felt authentic to the people who follow and support the team.
A vibrant secondary colour palette, including green, pink, purple, electric blue and yellow, adds energy and personality to the identity.
These colours will be introduced across the team’s digital and social channels, matchday communications, the look and feel of the Joie Stadium and, in the coming months, a new range of Manchester City Women merchandise.
At the heart of the platform is ‘It Takes a City’ - a celebration of the togetherness, collective ambition and shared belief that unite our players, staff, supporters and communities. Together, they make Manchester City Women who we are.
It follows the most successful season in the team’s history, with Manchester City Women winning the Women’s Super League and FA Cup double for the first time, while equalling the Club’s highest-ever points total.
However, that success is only the beginning. As a club of firsts, Manchester City Women have always looked ahead, and this new platform provides the foundation for the next stage of the team’s growth.
The 2026/27 season will also see Manchester City Women return to the UEFA Women’s Champions League, taking this unique blend of ambition, individuality and creativity onto the European stage.
The new identity will be introduced across Manchester City Women’s channels and matchday environments throughout the 2026/27 season, with further details on the campaign and merchandise to follow.
