10 things you may not know about Jade Rose
And Rose says she’s relishing the chance to showcase her talents in English football, with the demands of the WSL aligning with the technical emphasis she places on her own game.
She explained: “I think I’m a versatile football player. I can play both centre back and full back so I can play across the backline.
“I’m a very attack-minded centre back, I love stepping into midfield, getting the attacks starting from the back. I think that’s something I bring to the game is that I’m not only focused on the defensive side, but I also love getting the attack going.
“I think the style of play that the WSL offers is something I was really attracted to. I’m someone who likes to take care of the ball, I love living on the ball.
“I love possession style football and I think that’s something that’s very different looking at North America compared to European football.
“Just the football culture too, the way the fans are involved in the players, the way the fans show up for the team week-in week-out that’s something I really wanted to be a part of.”
