Jess Park has credited her scintillating form to the help of her City team-mates after the midfielder netted in our superb 5-0 win over West Ham.

Gareth Taylor’s side restored our place at the division’s summit with the record-breaking 13th straight league victory – albeit having played an extra match than second-placed Chelsea.

After assisting Leila Ouahabi’s opener, the England international rubber-stamped the success with our fifth goal of the afternoon at the Joie Stadium.

By setting up the Spaniard and fizzing an effort past Mackenzie Arnold, she has now scored four and provided three in her last three outings.

What’s more, that form earned Park the Joie and Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month awards.

And the 22-year-old hailed the help of colleagues and the confidence they provide her out on the pitch.

“The girls help a lot. They’ve been playing excellent and it’s really helped me to be confident and just play football which is all I want to do,” she explained.

“Massive credit to them for helping me with that. I used to play it [in midfield] when I was growing up so I feel like I was going back to it.

“It feels really comfortable for me at the moment and being in and around pressure, that’s what I like and being involved in the game really brings me into the game.

“Playing me there has just made that happen.”
