Jess Park says her standout display in Manchester City’s 5-0 UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying victory over Paris FC will rank high among her career highlights.

The England international was in mercurial form in the French capital by scoring twice and registering an assist at Stade Charlety as we gained an early advantage in the two-legged tie which will determine who will secure passage into the group stage.

Her display also continues her fine form from last season where she scored six goals and grabbed six assists, including two goals March’s 3-1 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

Now, with a WSL meeting with Arsenal and the deciding match with Paris FC across the next eight days, Park says she’s enthusiastic about the rest of the term.

“[It’s] an incredible way to start the season in the Champions League, it was great,” she declared.

“It’s incredible [playing in the midfield]. You can trust anybody on the ball and you can see that in the way we play. We trust each other and want to play with each other and we just want to score.

“[Tonight’s] up there with some of the best times [I’ve had at City] so it’s a nice way to start the season.

“Really excited, I can’t wait. Tonight just shows I can’t wait to get going and continue.  I’m ready to go and I can’t wait.”
