The Dutch international joins City on a three-year deal, returning to the Women’s Super League after two seasons with VfL Wolfsburg.
The 26-year-old joins the Club with a wealth of experience at both club and international level, with her energy, creativity and eye for goal adding a new dimension to an exciting young City squad.
Ahead of her latest challenge, Roord says she’s excited to work with her new team-mates and manager, Gareth Taylor.
“We’ve had some conversations and everything I wanted to hear, he told me,” Roord said of her initial discussions with the boss.
“We think the same way about football which is important and also where he sees me, what I’m good at and what I have to do better.
“I think it was a perfect fit.”
