Last season, Gareth Taylor’s side reached the final but suffered heartbreak to Chelsea as we fell to a 3-2 defeat in extra-time at Wembley in 2022.
En route to the showpiece event, the Norway international played three times, including a substitute final appearance.
And the dynamic winger’s experience under the arch has motivated her to reach another final in a City shirt, after also lifting the Continental Cup in 2022.
“It was a big, big experience to play at Wembley, especially with all the crowd there and I think the FA Cup is a something special as well, especially because you have the final at Wembley,” Blakstad said.
“So I think that [reaching the final] is a big goal for the group. All the girls want to go there.
“It was really cool [to play at Wembley]. The atmosphere was so nice and I think that’s the biggest crowd I’ve ever played for.
“You can feel a big difference between playing in front of 50,000 and playing in front of 2,000. I really hope we can do that more often in the future.
“That’s a goal for the women’s game more so we can play in front of more crowds more often.”
City start our FA Cup journey against Sheffield United on Sunday 29 January at the Academy Stadium - which is available to watch on CITY+ or Recast.
The Blades currently sit 11th in the Women’s Championship table – one place above the relegation zone.
But despite the two side’s league positions on paper, Blakstad is expecting a tough encounter against the Yorkshire side.
She added: “It’s going to be an exciting game. Even though we should be better than them [Sheffield United].
“I think sometimes those games are the hardest to play because you have all the expectation on you.”
