The Netherlands international played the full 90 minutes as Andrée Jeglertz’s side beat Aston Villa 6-1 at the Joie Stadium which will represented a century of Blues outings for the defender.
Since joining the Club in July 2022, the full-back has become one of the Club’s most integral players and a leader both on and off the pitch.
After totalling over 50 appearances across her first two terms with City, she then netted her first goal in sky blue when scoring against St Polten in a 2-0 Champions League win in December 2024.
Following Jeglertz’s appointment as City Head Coach ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Casparij has flourished at right-wing-back and continued her fine form which has been seen throughout her Blues career.
So far this season, she has started all our WSL matches, scored two goals and registered four assists while also wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of the injured Alex Greenwood.
