Kerstin Casparij has called for City to use our strong start to the 2024/25 campaign as a platform to push on and claim silverware.

The Dutch international has agreed a two-year contract extension, committing her future to the Club until the summer of 2027.

Featuring in 15 of our 17 matches so far, Casparij has been central to our impressive record which includes just two defeats in all competitions.

And with the winter break looming, the full-back hopes the Blues can maintain that form in the second half of the campaign and fulfil our trophy ambitions.

She said: “I think we’re very proud of what we’ve done so far this season. I think we had a really good start, both in the league and in the Champions League.

“That’s something we want to carry on through to the Christmas break and hopefully in the second half of the season we can win some silverware.

“We want to win something. We want to give our fans something to celebrate and ourselves something to celebrate.

“We’ve been working so hard this and last season as well – just missing out. Having something to celebrate is the goal for me this year.”
