The Dutch international has featured in 13 of the Blues’ 15 matches this season, with Gareth Taylor’s side keeping nine clean sheets in the process.
That includes two from our four Champions League fixtures so far, with City yet to concede on home soil in the competition this season ahead of St Polten’s visit on Thursday evening.
And she believes the work of City’s defensive unit takes some of the pressure off our attacking talent at the sharp end of the pitch.

She said: “Nine [clean sheets] out of 15 is good. We want to get more but I think we do well defensively, and it allows us to come away with a 1-0 win.
“I think we’ve been doing really well, we’re working hard to improve but luckily have some incredible players up top who finish the games off for us.
“They’ve helped me massively. All the defensive girls have helped me so much.
“Coming into the first team here and obviously the level between FC Twente and Manchester City is quite different.
“I needed time to adjust but they’ve been so helpful, and I’ve learned a lot off them so I’m very grateful for that.”
