City’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United confirmed our fourth-place finish with one Barclays Women’s Super League match remaining in a term where we’ve been plagued with injuries.
As ever, we were passionately followed by our supporters away at Old Trafford in the latest showing of their wonderful backing of Nick Cushing’s team which has seen them travel the continent and up and down the country in 2024/25.
MATCH REPORT | UNITED 2-2 CITY
Although we ultimately won’t be playing Champions League football next term, Aleixandri says City will be committed to finishing the season on a high against Crystal Palace next week in our final assignment.
“The fans are super important for us, always supporting us at home or away,” she said.
“They follow us everywhere we go. We just want to thank them at the next game and give them a good performance.
“We had the hunger to win and we fought until the last minute. Everyone was trying to give everything for this team and for this Club.
“For the fans and for the Club, we will keep doing it.”
