The winger, named September’s Etihad Player of the Month, has been a key figure in the Blues’ unbeaten start to the campaign.
City have begun our defence of the Barclays Women’s Super League title with a 100% record while also going unbeaten in the UEFA Champions League ahead of a bumper week of fixtures against Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and London City Lionesses.
Hemp has played a starring role in that success, grabbing four goals and four assists in seven appearances – a goal involvement tally bettered only by Bunny Shaw.
Standout performances have come against Liverpool and Arsenal to name just two, with the winger grabbing a brace in each fixture to help the Blues pick up crucial wins.
In the latter of those matches – a 4-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium – Hemp also moved third in our all-time appearance rankings… one of several incredible milestones she’s hit in 2026/27.
Already celebrating her 200th City appearance on the opening day against Birmingham City, Hemp begins the interview by looking at some messages from team-mates and fans congratulating her on hitting such a special landmark.
One week after that Birmingham win, Hemp’s assist for Shaw saw her become only the seventh player in WSL history to register 100 goal involvements, with the winger looking back at some of her memorable goals and assists on her journey to that moment.
Then attentions turn to the Derby – a fixture where Lauren has consistently stepped up to help City to some special wins.
City take on Manchester United at 18:00 (UK) on Sunday 25 October, before facing PSG at the Joie Stadium just four days later in the Champions League.
Two huge matches for the Blues… but challenges the England international is relishing.
