Lauren Hemp may be regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the game right now – but the winger insists there’s still more to come!

The 21-year-old, who has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with City to 2024, is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the women’s game, starring for both Club and country with her influential and dazzling displays on the flank.

As if news of her commitment to the Club was not enough to delight fans, the assertion she can still improve will only spark further excitement.

The England star also spoke of her love of the City supporters, as well as how Gareth Taylor’s stewardship has taken her game to new heights.

“I’m not the finished product,” Hemp told mancity.com. “I’m still really young and I’m still learning every day.

“Being at this Club is only going to help me to push on and keep striving, and hopefully I can continue to do that and help the team as much as possible.

“It’s great to be around some fantastic facilities – the pitches are unbelievable – and the calibre of players we have is unbelievable and can only help me to improve.

“I think I’ve improved a lot [under Gareth Taylor]. He’s a great coach, a great manager and I think he’s got the best out of me.

“There’s still so much more I can achieve and do to help the team and I think he’s going to get the best out of me.

“We’ve seen that since I joined: the amount I have improved and it’s crazy to see the lengths I can get to in a couple of years’ time, being surrounded by such great players and staff.

“Being at a Club like City, it suits my [playing] style and I love playing each week for the badge. I have to mention that the fans are amazing as well at this Club – we’ve got some of the best in the world.

“I want to keep playing for them and keep getting results for City, and it only drives me more.”
