Lauren Hemp says all eyes will be on City this season, following a sensational summer of recruitment.

Over the past few months, City have captured World Cup Champions Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle, Champions League winners Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood, and promising England starlet Chloe Kelly.

Hemp, who starred in the 2019/20, clinching the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year award for a second time, says she could not be more excited to play alongside the new signings and achieve more success.

“It’s amazing,” she said. “It’s the time to be at City.

“People from the outside are looking at the team, thinking: ‘They’re going to do well this season.’

“Credit to the coaching staff and the team for how well we’ve done over the last few seasons, and bringing in the players we have will only make the team stronger.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the team and how we’ll improve throughout.

“Hopefully, we’ll be winning silverware once we’re all together and we get to know each other and how each other play.

“I’m really excited.”
