Naomi Layzell says she’s relishing the prospect of winning trophies after completing her move to the Joie Stadium.

The England youth international has become our latest summer signing, joining Manchester City from Barclays Women’s Championship side Bristol City.

During her time with the Vixens, she helped them to the second-tier title in 2022/23 and she was named her former employers’ Young Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year at the end of last term.

And she’s aiming to draw on her past experience to help Gareth Taylor’s side lift major honours during her time at the Club.

“I guess individually it’s just about gaining as much experience and opportunities I can,” she explained.

“Then for the team, there’s four competitions we’re in and I guess the aim is to aim is to win every competition we’re in.

“That’s the aspiration of all the girls and coming into the environment, I sort of try to take ownership of that as well so I’m looking forward to that.

“[And] my message to the fans would be I’m really excited to be here and get going. I can’t wait to play in front of all of you.”
