City had battled back from an early Mayra Ramirez strike and deservedly drew level through Aoba Fujino after the hour mark at Pride Park.
However, an unfortunate late own goal ultimately decided the contest.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side are brimming with confidence heading into our latest showdown, though, having gone 16 matches without defeat in all competitions.
