With Gareth Taylor‘s side blending new faces with long-standing City stars, the first half saw us hold the ball well against the Foxes looking to implement a new style of play under new leadership.

Neither team could break the deadlock but fresh legs taking to the pitch in the second half including new signings Vivianne Miedema and Aoba Fujino caused issues for Leicester’s defensive line.
At the other end, new shot-stopper Ayaka Yamashita pulled off a couple of fantastic saves that would see the game go to penalties.
And the new City keeper was the player of the moment as she saved two of Leicester’s spot kicks whilst Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Mary Fowler, Fujino and Miedema all converted from the spot to see City win 4-3 on penalties.
