The Spaniard broke the deadlock after squeezing a shot into the bottom left corner, with further goals from Kerolin Nicoli and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw sealing a deserved win.
Gareth Taylor’s side saw out late pressure from the visitors after Nelly Las had pulled one back to progress to the quarter-finals.
Our second game in less than 72 hours, Ouahabi felt the win was just rewards for City’s hard work on the training pitch, and she was delighted to play an important role in that triumph.
“I’m really happy to help the team,” she began.
“I saw a lot of players in the box, and I decided quickly to shoot with my left foot in that situation.
“I’m very happy for the team, we played a really good game.
“We played well in the first-half and in the second-half too, we had a lot of opportunities and sometimes there were moments that we could have kept the ball better, but it’s difficult because Leicester are a good team.
“We’ve had a lot of games, we’re working hard ahead of these games, but we have a competitive mentality and I think this is the important thing and we need to continue in this way.”
