The Spanish international joins Gareth Taylor’s side following an impressive second stint at Barcelona.
During her time at the Camp Nou, the left-back has won every available domestic honour, as well as the Champions League, and has also been named in her nation’s provisional squad for this summer’s European Championships.
Speaking in her first interview as a City player, the 29-year-old says she can’t wait to add a new experience to her already glittering career.
Indeed, Ouahabi is confident that making the switch to the Academy Stadium will take her game to new heights.
“These are two completely different experiences and I’m delighted to be able to start this new experience,” she said on her decision to join City from Barcelona.
“The motivation comes from wanting to grow more. I want to carry on enjoying football.
“City are a very strong team, so on a personal and professional level I think it will help me grow a lot as a person, as a footballer and it will help me learn about other cultures too.
“(City can bring) a different view of the game, different ways to play, different tactics.
“After being at one Club for so long, hopefully I can learn new things to help me improve as a player.”
