Second half goals from Filippa Angeldahl and Mary Fowler were enough for us to secure three points in the Continental Cup and move to Group B’s summit.
After a closely contested first 45’ that ended goalless, Gareth Taylor’s side were fast out the blocks after the interval and took the lead via the Sweden international’s first of the season.

It came after the ball broke to her in the box following a corner before she controlled expertly and instinctively fired into the bottom corner through a crowd of bodies.
Another 20 minutes passed before we doubled our lead and it came shortly after Lauren Hemp’s introduction when she drove down the wing and squared to Mary Fowler, who shook off her marker to arrive first and fire high into the net from close range.
The shutout maintained our third clean sheet in the competition this term as our aim to retain the trophy continued.
