Goals from Lauren Hemp, Jess Park and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (two) helped secure the fine success at Prenton Park which extended our winning league streak to 12 straight games – matching the division’s record.
Following an evenly contested opening quarter to the clash, an exhilarating eight-minute period saw the visitors fire into a three-goal lead.
Hemp opened the scoring when latching onto Park’s initially saved shot to coolly slot home before the latter finished off a classy team move shortly after to double our advantage.
Then, Bunny unleashed a venomous effort into the top corner from all of 25-yards out to spectacularly extend our advantage further.
Although Taylor Hinds pulled a goal back for Matt Beard’s side – it did little to dampen sky blue spirits as City moved to the WSL’s summit with three previous points.
