A Jess Park brace and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s record 68th goal for City were enough to earn a memorable win in front of over 40,000 fans.

Gareth Taylor‘s side earned our third Manchester derby win of the season in the process, extending our run of victories to 11 in the league.

City found the breakthrough when Park met Leila Ouahabi‘s cross in from the left, and the midfielder added another to her tally as half-time approached.

After a well-worked short corner routine, the England international was in the right place at the right time to tap home Alanna Kennedy‘s knockdown and give City some daylight.

And a strong end to the first half was matched at the start of the second, with Park feeding Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw for our third inside 30 seconds of the restart.

The Jamaican confidently slotted home the midfielder’s clever reverse pass to hand the hosts a comfortable advantage as she became the Club’s leading goalscorer.

United pulled one back through Hannah Blundell’s deflected cross, but City never looked likely to relinquish our advantage, and saw out another memorable derby victory.
