In what was the third meeting between the sides in 2023/24, a Jess Park brace and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s record-breaking 68th goal for the Club helped secure the success.
The England international opened the scoring with a well-taken volley in the 37th minute, before she doubled her and the hosts’ tally on the cusp of half-time with a prodded, close-range effort.
Gareth Taylor’s side carried our momentum into the second half when Bunny struck seconds after the restart when collecting the ball, driving into the box and slotting home.
It represented her 68th goal for City – making her our all-time highest women’s goalscorer.
Marc Skinner’s side pulled a goal back when a cross deflected off Kerstin Casparij and squirmed into the net, but it did little to dampen spirits as we recorded an 11th straight WSL win.
