City came from behind in our Barclays Women’s Super League meeting with Manchester United to extend our unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions
A Laura Coombs header in the second half saw us cancel out Leah Galton’s strike in the opening 45’ in front of 44,259 supporters – a Club record for a women’s match.
In what was an even first period, the visitors took the lead when the ball fell to Galton inside the box before she hit low past Ellie Roebuck.
But it only took 13 minutes after the re-start for City to level the score when Chloe Kelly drove down the right flank and delivered an inviting ball into the box where Coombs shook off her marker to head home from six yards.
Both goalkeepers were tested during the closing stages which saw our stopper produce a jaw dropping save late on.
