Ahead of City’s trip to Arsenal this weekend, watch the best of the action from the last time the two sides met.

Gareth Taylor’s side travel to Meadow Park on Sunday, 2 April – with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 (UK) – in what’s shaping up to be another exciting Barclays Women’s Super League clash.

In the reverse fixture in February, first half goals from Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly set the seal on a deserved and important 2-1 triumph over the Gunners at the Academy Stadium.

We were in front inside five minutes when Hemp tapped home her 50th goal for the Club from close-range.

Taylor’s team continued to dominate in what was a blistering start to proceedings, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw going particularly close to doubling the advantage.

However, that honour would fall to Kelly, who fired into an empty net after being set up by the Jamaican as half-time approached.

The visitors halved the deficit when Rafaelle guided a header into the far corner from a searching cross, while Stina Blackstenius also struck the foot of the post under pressure from Steph Houghton.

Yui Hasegawa was also a coat of paint away from getting on the scoresheet when she rattled a vicious effort off the Gunners’ crossbar from distance.

However, it would prove to be City’s day, with a vital three points moving us to within touching distance of the WSL summit.
