Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scored a hat-trick as City cruised into the semi-finals for the seventh consecutive season.
After a goalless first half, Gareth Taylor’s side produced an emphatic attacking display in the second period, as the Jamaican striker opened her account at the Academy Stadium.
The 24-year-old broke the deadlock with a close-range finish and Vicky Losada quickly made it to as she sent a rocket into the top corner from the edge of the area.
Shaw added her second and City’s third shortly after the hour mark before captain Alex Greenwood converted a penalty to make it 4-0 after Lauren Hemp was fouled inside the area.
Jill Scott’s driving run and cross allowed Shaw to complete her treble with a far post header and the comprehensive victory was wrapped up with Filippa Angeldahl’s low effort from the edge of the area.
City will face Chelsea in the semi-final on Sunday 31 October.
