City had to dig deep to get over the line on Merseyside, and the players showed similar levels of effort during our latest session at the City Football Academy.
But there was plenty of style to match the substance - keep an eye out for some impressive juggling skills from Deyna Castellanos while the Venezuelan is sat on a ball.
The fancy footwork continued in some rondos, with Alanna Kennedy claiming two nutmegs in quick succession, before the players took part in some strength and conditioning exercises in the gym.
