Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hit a tremendous hat-trick as we came from a goal down to claim three points and leapfrog Chelsea in the league standings.
Despite a bright start by Gareth Taylor’s side, it was the visitors who took the lead against the run of play when Celin Bizet collected the ball at the far post and rifled into the roof of the net.
Undeterred by the opening goal by the Londoners, we equalised on the stroke of half-time when Bunny manoeuvred well inside the box to muscle off her marker and head home.
She then doubled her and our tally shortly after the interval when she coolly dispatched a penalty from 12-yards after Chloe Kelly was brought down inside the box after gliding into the area.
In a match that ebbed and flowed, with the visitors looking to hurt us on the counter attack, we all but sealed three points when the Jamaican prodded her third into the net from close range on 83 minutes.
And she’s now raised her tally in 2022/23 to 24 in all competitions – matching Nikita Parris’s record.
