Manchester City have been sent some good luck messages by a few familiar faces ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby.

Gareth Taylor‘s side host United at the Etihad Stadium at 12:30 (UK) in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

With over 40,000 tickets snapped up to see two of the league’s in-form sides do battle, it promises to be an historic, must-watch occasion.

And ahead of the encounter, managers Pep Guardiola and Brian Barry-Murphy, as well as members of our men’s and Elite Development Squad sent on their best wishes.

City legend and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’s Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott also wished her former team-mates luck.

And some famous Mancunian faces from outside the football world took the time out of their busy schedules to cheer on City, including Smiths drummer Mike Joyce and radio broadcaster Mark Radcliffe.
