We weathered the United storm until the 73rd minute, when a short corner routine caught the City defence off guard, allowing substitute Lucy Staniforth to flick home the equaliser.
And things went from bad to worse soon after, Alessia Russo afforded too much space inside the area to fire a low drive past the despairing dive of Karima Taeib with 15 still to play.

Once again, however, Gareth Taylor‘s side responded defiantly, and substitute White was on hand to pounce after Jess Park‘s stinging long-range drive had been tipped onto the bar by Mary Earps.
