In a keenly-fought first 45 minutes, Lauren Hemp was the closest to scoring when her header bounced off the top of the bar as the teams went into the break level.
But Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw opened the floodgates soon after the restart, finishing off a fine move involving both her fellow forwards; Hemp and Chloe Kelly.
City 3-2 Everton | Gareth Taylor reaction
Hemp doubled our lead in spectacular style, picking the ball up on the right-hand side before curling it over the top of the Everton keeper from outside the area.
There was a nice moment as former City midfielder, Izzy Christiansen, left the pitch for the final time as a professional footballer before Shaw finished off her 50th City goal to stretch our lead further on the hour mark.
Everton’s Lucy Hope and Leonie Maier pulled two back for the visitors, but the points were firmly in City’s hands as we finished our season with a flourish.
