The Blues travel to the French capital on Wednesday 18 September for a 17:45 (UK) kick-off looking to gain an early advantage before the decider at the Joie Stadium eight days later.
It represents our return to the European stage for the first time in two seasons following our second place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League last term.
But the City boss is anticipating a tough challenge from Sandrine Soubeyrand’s side.
“[Reaching the Champions League group stage is a] huge priority, we’ve always said the priority is trying to win the WSL which something we’ve only done once previously.
“We’ve come close, in two of my seasons we’ve come down to the final game. Last season was supremely close. The rewards that come from winning the WSL is going straight into the group stages which is what everyone wants.
“Every team who have faced a Champions League qualifier over the past few years have never had it easy.
“Sometimes the route can be slightly different whether you finish third or second. We’ve seen previously it’s a tough competition to get into the group stages. We feel if we can get into it, we feel we’ll have a really good go in this competition.
“Regardless of who we drew, it’s a tough stage of the competition.
“We’ve said previously in this round, you’ll potentially face tougher games than in the group stage in the league format. Their pedigree is good and they’re a dangerous opponent.
“They will not make it easy. It’s a tough opponent for us, but the signs in pre-season have been really good. We’ve made some adjustments in the summer and the new players have settled in well.”
