Rebecca Knaak says she and City share an ambition to win titles and compete on the European stage.

The German defender has penned a contract extension with the Blues which will keep her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2028.

It will see her total three-and-a-half years at the Joie Stadium after signing in January from FC Rosengard where she has since made 16 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals for Andrée Jeglertz’s side.

Now, after committing her long-term future to City, Knaak is eyeing silverware and continental success as well as cementing her place in the German national team.

“The main goal is the title now. We’re investing everything we can to win the title and to win titles. We’re really trying our best here, working every week towards our goal,” she explained.

“Long-term, we want to be successful in Europe again. We want to get into the Champions League. This club has the highest ambitions, and I have that as well.

“My personal goals for City are winning titles, and I want to be a part of the national team as well still.

“The World Cup, the Euros. The base for this is good performances in the team, but I’m looking forward to everything because I think there’s a lot of potential in this team.”
