The Japan international joins the Club from fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side West Ham United after two impressive seasons.
With Gareth Taylor’s side returning to UEFA Champions League action in 2024/25, the defender is excited by the challenge ahead.
And while she expects European action and a WSL title tilt to be a ‘step up’, it’s one she believes she’s ready for given how her qualities match City’s style of play.
“First of all, it’ll be a challenge, but one I’m ready for,” she explained in her first interview as a City player.
“I’m sure my team-mates will help raise my level and I hope we can win something together as a team.
“I usually play on the right side but I can also play on the left side if needed. Versatility, that’s what I would say my biggest strength is.
“City play football with a high possession style, which I like. I think I’m technically good and calm with the ball, so I think I’ll play well in City’s style.”
