The United States star and World Cup winner has made the move to Manchester, signing from the North Carolina Courage - City’s opponents in the 2019 Women’s International Champions Cup.
Discussing her signing in her first interview with CityTV, Mewis says she is excited by the Club’s professionalism, ambition and facilities - and even inspired by our Amazon Prime documentary ‘All or Nothing!’
“The Club is one of the best in the world and I’ve heard such good things about the women’s side as a whole and the incredible facilities,” she said.
“I’ve followed the men’s team too, for a long time. I love watching the men’s team play. I know the city of Manchester is blue because everyone tells me that!
“It’s a city that loves soccer so much. I watched the Amazon series on Man City and it was so cool.
“I watched it again recently when I was deciding to come and I was like: ‘Oh my God, I have to go!”
