"I think everyone in this group was convinced that we weren't going to walk away without a trophy."

There is no bigger pressure in football than taking a penalty to win a Cup final, but this did not unnerve Janine Beckie.

As we celebrate seven years of trophy-laden success upon the anniversary of the Club’s official re-launch in January 2014, the players have been looking back on some of their favourite moments.

In the latest of our week-long series, our midfield engine recalls our dramatic Continental Cup triumph in 2018 over Arsenal.

After a cagey 90 minutes of Cup final football, neither side were able to break the deadlock as the game entered extra-time.

The additional 30 minutes proved similar to the 90 as neither team could find a breakthrough, meaning penalties would decide the 2018/19 Continetal Cup Final.

After both sides netted their first spot-kick, a miss from Lauren Hemp gave the Gunners the upper hand in the shootout.

However, heroics from goalkeeper, Karen Bardsley saw her pull off back-to-back saves to give City the advantage heading into the final moments.

Succesful penalties from Steph Houghton and Claire Emslie gave finally penalty taker, Beckie the chance to secure Cup glory.

The Canadian then made no mistake from 12-yards, slotting into the bottom corner, to claim our third Conti Cup title.
