Gareth Taylor’s side booked our place into the last eight of this year’s competition with a professional 2-0 win over the Villans at the Joie Stadium thanks to goals from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Jess Park.
The Blues started strongly but couldn’t find the breakthrough, and were thankful to Ayaka Yamashita for a fantastic save to deny Ebony Salmon’s goalbound strike.
But City then began the second half quickly and found the opener after Mary Fowler played an inch-perfect pass to Bunny, who composed herself and coolly slotted into the bottom corner.
We were well worth our lead and all-but sealed progression into the semi-finals when Park collected Vivianne Miedema’s pass and slammed into the back of the net.
It means we’ve reached the last-four of the FA Cup for the first time since 2022 and will face Manchester United for a place in the showpiece at Wembley.
