Steph Houghton believes Jess Park has a "bright future ahead of her" as the 21-year-old bagged her first goal of the season in an impressive display over Everton.

The winger tapped home the opening goal of the game from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s cross, with the Jamaican doubling the advantage in a 2-1 win over the Toffees.

Despite conceding a goal in stoppage time, City gave an impressive performance, holding us in good stead to progress through the group stages.

Amongst an array of fantastic performances, Park stood out as a strong threat throughout the match and our captain Steph Houghton sang the praises of the youngster, who was awarded player of the match.

She said of the winger’s performance:  “I think she’s got a really bright future ahead of her.

“She’s looking really sharp and really fit.

“She’s definitely one for the future and showed tonight what she is capable of.”
