Houghton has spent the past decade at the Club, where she has amassed a record 241 appearances to date, as well as eight major honours.

She is the last remaining member of our first-ever professional side and undoubtedly goes down as a legendary figure at City.

But with Gareth Taylor’s side involved in a thrilling end to the current WSL campaign, there’s still every chance Houghton could close the curtain on her career with a league title at the Joie Stadium.

While also reflecting on some of the best moments during her time at City, the defender also discusses the exciting future at the Club, with a squad that she describes as ‘special’.

Houghton also explains how her time at the Joie Stadium has helped shape her off the pitch, as well as reach the outstanding heights she’s been able to over her career at the top of the game.
