Since the conclusion of last term, a series of changes have already been made on and off the field as we look to improve and better our fourth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
The Blues have already welcomed three new additions to the Club with exciting Switzerland international Iman Beney, classy Canadian defender Jade Rose and decorated German midfielder Sydney Lohmann arriving at the Joie Stadium.
As well as the new faces in the playing department, Andrée Jeglertz has been appointed as City’s new head coach with the Swede arriving with over 20 years of managerial experience.
On the 53-year-old’s appointment Sjogren said: “I know him from way back and I’ve tried many times to work with him in Rosengard but it was never a perfect fit.
“Of course now I’m so happy he’s here and that I finally get to work with him because I think he has the perfect strategy of play. It fits perfectly with City and the identity we have.
“He’s a people’s person, he knows how to handle a very good squad because that’s what we’re going to have and you have to, as a manager, try to keep the players happy as long as possible.
“And with the team we’re going to have, that’s going to be a challenge.
“I think he’s [a] perfect [fit] and I really hope we can build something new and reach our goals as well.”
