The players had a spring in their step following this weekend’s hard-fought win over Leicester City, which kept our European qualification hopes alive.
Jess Park’s second half effort means we closed the gap on the third and final European spot to just four points with two matches of the season to play.
And with our local rivals Manchester United next up, City’s latest Barclays Women’s Super League clash is about far more than a top three finish.
The squad are under no illusions about the importance of the fixture, with another chance to close the gap on our rivals if we can get a win at Old Trafford.
VOTE FOR YOUR ETIHAD PLAYER OF THE SEASON
If United fail to beat Chelsea on Wednesday evening, then a win for City takes that push for Europe to the final day, where we host already relegated Crystal Palace while United travel to second-placed Arsenal.
As always, the players were hard at work as the sun beat down on the CFA, with plenty of small-sided drills on show as well as some strength and agility training.
Elsewhere, our goalkeepers were put through their paces and the likes of Vivianne Miedema and Aoba Fujino continued their injury recoveries with individual work.
