New signing Vicky Losada says she is determined to help bring success and silverware to Manchester City.

The hugely experienced Spanish international star has joined City from Barcelona and signed a two-year contract with Gareth Taylor’s squad.

Part of the Barcelona squad that lifted the UEFA Women’s Champions League in May, Losada accumulated an incredible haul of silverware during her time at Barcelona, winning six Spanish league titles, seven Copa de la Reina trophies, eight Copa Catalunya successes, a Supercopa Feminina as well as the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The midfielder also boasts both Women’s FA Cup and League Cup winners’ medals from her time at Arsenal.

Now Losada says he is hugely excited about joining City – and is eager to impart her experience and know-how into Gareth Taylor’s squad.

“I’m so excited to start the next season and to be joining one of the best clubs in the world,” Losada told CityTV.

“I’m so happy to be back in England. I’ve never lost my ambition to win trophies and to keep learning every day.

“I think my experience has given me leadership skills, my technical quality and my competitiveness.

“I want to thank City for believing in me and I think its going to be a big future.

“This move to City is the best (thing) that can happen to me and hopefully we can have some good years ahead.”
