The Dutch international was a key figure in City’s most successful season to date, as we secured both the WSL title and the FA Cup for the first time in the same campaign.
Only Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Alessia Russo and Kirsty Hanson grabbed more goals than Miedema’s ten in the WSL, while she also provided five assists in 2025/26.
In all competitions, she finished with an impressive 19 goal involvements in 25 appearances - behind only Shaw in the entire squad.

Operating in a more withdrawn attacking role, Miedema’s intelligence and experience allowed her to flourish in the engine room for City.
Indeed, our number ten’s influence went beyond her statistics - providing the perfect foil for her attacking team-mates.
Jeglertz often described Viv as effectively a coach on the pitch, with the freedom afforded her by the Swede paid back week in, week out.
CELEBRATING MIEDEMA’S FIRST TWO SEASONS IN BLUE
Miedema enjoyed perhaps one of her finest seasons to date in 2025/26, so it was therefore rather fitting that she would score our final goal of the campaign in a 4-0 FA Cup final win over Brighton.
The perfect way for a special player to round off a remarkable season for City.
