City had struggled to find our usual rhythm in the first half but began to turn the screw after the restart and could’ve been further ahead before Shaw smashed home her 18th of the season.

Lily Murphy went close to breaking the deadlock when she forced a decent low save from Kinga Szemik, before Laura Wienroither smashed an effort against the underside of the bar.
Shaw then pounced with ten to play when she met Mary Fowler’s cross and fired in from close-range, seemingly sealing a fifth-straight win for the Blues.
But there was one final twist to come, as Pavi was played inside and curled an effort into the far corner to dent City’s prospects of a top three finish.
