Today is World Water Day and we’re calling on City fans around the world to be Water Heroes, alongside Pep Guardiola and our official water technology partner, Xylem.
Untreated wastewater is a global problem. Over 80% of the world’s wastewater is released untreated into oceans and rivers. Waste water that is destroying the environment, making millions of us sick, and accelerating climate change.
Pep put a global spotlight on the issue in his latest campaign film, which has been watched over 3 million times in just two weeks.
Just launched today, Bunny, Deyna and Julie are also bringing some of the most shocking wastewater facts to life, in collaboration with Global Citizen and young water ambassadors.
We have to work as a team to tackle this issue. Launched two weeks ago by Pep himself is Xylem’s Water Heroes Hub, where City fans can add their voice to the ‘Clean Water Call For Change’ and learn more about this issue, while earning points to enter prize draws for Man City VIP tickets, General Admissions tickets, and signed Manchester City shirts.
