Gareth Taylor’s side came from behind to record a strong 4-1 victory over the Royals thanks to goals from Chloe Kelly, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Lauren Hemp and Steph Houghton.
The Royals opened the scoring when Sanne Troelsgaard unleashed an unstoppable effort past Ellie Roebuck from all of 20-yards.
However, we responded well to the early set-back and Kelly nullified their advantage when she poked home inside 15-minutes before Shaw handed us the lead with a powerful header from a pinpoint Alex Greenwood corner.
Hemp then handed City a two-goal lead shortly after the interval when she met Kelly’s cross at the back post to tap home.
And Houghton made sure of the points with an exquisite free-kick which flew into the net from 25-yards.
