As part of their commitment to children’s charity NSPCC, the Premier League have asked Adam to help in their fundraising efforts by completing the gruelling 26-mile course.
Due to the nature of his role in the Academy coaching team at Platt Lane, Adam is confident he will be able to complete the 26 mile race in a respectable time but admits he will be “taking it slow” when the race gets under way.
Adam is hoping to raise £2,000 before Sunday and he needs City supporters to contribute – however big or small their donation may be – to help him towards his goal.
To donate, visit Adam Sadler’s Just Giving page.
Your money will help the NSPCC towards their goal of ending cruelty to children in the UK.
The London Marathon is the world’s largest event of its kind, with 36,478 competing in last year’s event.
Each runner will observe a 30 second silent before starting Sunday’s race as a mark of respect to victims of the Boston Marathon bombings on Tuesday and have been encouraged to wear a black ribbon.
