City academy duo, Denzeil Boadu and Cameron Humphries, have been shining on the international stage for England u17s.

Denzeil grabbed the only goal of the game in yesterday’s victory over the Faroe Islands, while Cameron, still eligible for the u16s, played the full 90 minutes as part of the defence which recorded a clean sheet.

Boadu netted the winner in the 35th minute after combining well with Chelsea’s Jay DaSilva.

The striker signed on for City this summer and impressed as part of Jason Wilcox’s u18 side which claimed victory over Radcliffe Borough last week.

England u17s are in Norway to take part in the Nordic Tournament, and there will be further opportunities for the City pair to impress in the competition, as Kenny Swain’s men are due to play three more matches before returning home.

The Young Lions are next in action on Tuesday afternoon against Finland.
