City U18s will be hosting Norwich City at Platt Lane on Saturday looking to build on a run of three league games unbeaten.

Last weekend’s fixture against Middlesbrough fell victim to the winter weather, so the latest competitive outing for the young Blues was two weeks ago, when they drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle.

A wonder strike from Jose Angelino rescued a point for the young side after Louis Hutton had missed a penalty.

Two good wins in the previous league games against Blackburn and Arsenal also provided encouragement for a team sprinkled with several 16-year-olds playing up the age groups.

It will be the first time these two sides have faced each other at U18 level in the 2012/13 campaign, but Norwich will present a tough challenge for Adam Sadler’s men.

The Canaries have only lost one of their last five games in the league, and have booked a place in the FA Youth Cup quarter finals.

Kick off is at 11am and it is free for supporters to come down and watch the young Blues.

We’ll bring you goal updates on twitter, as well as a full match report after the final whistle.
